We are supporting My Future My Choice in their heritage project for local schools promoting local stories of the Windrush generation and their descendants with an uplifting and educational card game.

Black Seeds Network
Black Seeds Environmental Social Justice Network (BSN) provides a platform for environmentalists of colour to socialise, gain support, seek opportunities, and develop innovation, knowledge and expertise on environmental issues. BSN lead Gnisha Bevan has secured funding to deliver ‘Nature Rising’ through a WECA Pollinators Grant. This includes developing skills in local communities to grow herbs, vegetables and plants. They have a programme of community engagement which includes film-making, high-profile speakers and workshops with communities in the Bristol region.

Black Writing Matters
We are working with Paper Nations, Bath Spa university and UWE to build a stronger infrastructure for local Black and ethnically diverse writers.
Creative Powertown
Creative Power Town is a youth project based in St Pauls, Bristol, delivering career paths in the arts for Black and under-represented young people. Creative Connex CIC is providing pro-bono support to the organisation in terms of fundraising, mentoring, business development and networking, to support their aim to develop as a multi-disciplinary talent agency and artistic platform for Music, Theatre, Fashion, Dance and Photography. http://creativepowertown.co.uk/

Come The Revolution – 10th Anniversary
Come The Revolution, a collective of diverse film curators and creatives from Bristol, is celebrating and showcasing 10 years of Black Cinema & Culture in 2024. Creative Connex is providing its digital marketing and marketing events for a year of public film screenings with directors, talks and music.

Strategic Inclusion Advice to Management Boards
Roger and the team offer advice, create resources and support organisations such as Bristol Legacy Foundation, Film Bath, Bath’s American Museum & Gardens, as well as Arts Council England from 2015 to 2023.
Windrush Heritage Project
This project celebrates the Windrush Generation and its achievements and legacy for Bristol and Britain. In 2023 and continuing in 2024 we hosted several events and initiatives. These included celebrating the 75th anniversary of the arrival of the first ship of pioneers, Roger’s memoir ‘My American Odyssey From The Windrush to the White House’, The UWE Bristol Generations Project, and support to local partners including St Pauls Carnival.
